August Favourites 2016

9:54:00 PM

Hello everyone!

As you may already know, I'm currently not staying at my house. This is the reason why I'm not posting as often as I should and would like to. This, I hope, is going to change soon, as I'm planning to be home again by the end of next week. I might have more time to post then :).

This week I decided to write about my monthly favortes. Yes, I know it's a weird timing for a favorites post, as it's just past the middle of August, but I haven't talked about products I've been loving since May now and I would like to change that. Especially as you seemed to like it :).

Oriflame Optimals Aqua Refresh Face Mask

I got this mask in the Christmas Season this year, but I haven't been using it, as I had some other stuff I wanted to use up. Only lately I've discovered how amazing it is. It's a moisturizing mask in a light blue gel form, it also smells amazingly fresh. I have to admit, I haven't been really using it as a mask, but as a night cream. I just take a little less and massage it into my skin. It sinks it wonderfully and doesn't leave any weird residue. I've been using it this way for more than a month now and I've been loving it. So much that it might appear in an Empties post pretty soon!

Nivea Soothing Toner

I've already mentioned it on my Instagram, so if you're following me there (which you obviously should) you already know that I love this toner. I'm still not sure if I enjoy it more than my last one, but starting using toners was a great decision in my opinion!

Ziaja Deep Moisturizing Foot Cream

Feet are a part of our bodies we tend to forget about when we have less time or are lazy. And knowing I'll be working a lot and will probably be tired most of the time, I decided to buy this deeply moisturizing foot cream, hoping for a faster effect. I can't be sure, as I haven't been using it too consistently, but I love the scent and it works brilliant as a hand cream or any-other-part-of-the-body cream. I've been loving it for that (plus makes me smell fresh like a lemon).

Etude House My Lash Serum

Remember the Korean make up and skincare haul I did a while back? I mentioned this product there. I took it with me on all of my trips and have been using it every single night. I have to say, I don't know if it made my lashes any better, but I also was not complaing about them (apart from them having no pigmentation). Nonetheless, it's a pleasure to use and I really enjoy the ritual.

Lacalut Lip Balm

It's a lip balm my parents got for free with their Lacalut toothpaste. What can I say, I've been enjoying a lip balm this month. No lipstick, no lipgloss, just a simple, clear lip balm.

Nivea Vitamin Shake in Cranberry & Raspberry

Speaking of lip balm, here's another one. This, on the other hand, smells amazing and makes my lips a little more pink. And I've been loving that. Great for no make up make up days. Makes me happy every time I use it.

L'oreal True Match Concealer in 2 Vanilla

This is a well known product in the make up world, so of course I had to try it. So far - I love it (obviously, it's in my favorites post). It's creamy, but not too thick, blends easily and doesn't crease under my eyes. It also covers my dark circles like a dream and matches my skintone. What's more to wish for?

Bourjois Healthy Balance powder in 52 Vanilla

And this is what I've been setting the mentioned concealer with. I've talked about this products on my blog before, it's nothing new. I love the scent and how it adds a little coverage to my simpliest make up looks I've been doing lately. It's also the only mirror I've been using for doing my make up for more than a month now.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer

Obviously, mine is travel size, which is even better, as I'm actually travelling right now! It's not why I've been loving it though. The way it blends and the pigmentation is the reason. I've had it since the Christmas season, I'm pretty sure I've been using it almost every day, and there's barely a dent. That's how little you need! Or, at least, that's how little I need. You know what's also great about it? Works amazing as an eyeshadow, alone or paired with other products.

Lovely Gold Highlighter

Apart from the fact that the lid on my packaging is already broken, I have no idea what's there not to love about it. Yes, I haven't tried too many highlihters yet, but this one completely matched my expectations. It's beautiful and buildable, you can make it soft or you can go all the way and be seen from space. It's also so amazingly affordable!

And that is all I have for today. I really hope you enjoyed, please comment if you did! I have so many plans for future posts, so please stay tuned. As for now, have an amazing day! xoxo

Sending my love,

EMPTIES #3: Catrice, AA, Neutrogena...

11:28:00 PM

Hello there!

How are you doing? How is your summer going? Tell me everything! Oh, and wanna know how I'm doing? Keep in touch with me through my Instagram, Tumblr or Twitter.

Today's post is going to be, again, empties! Yes, I've just did a blog post about that, but if you've read it, you know that I had to split it into parts. And here is the promised part two.

AA Cosmetics Hydro Algae Pink Facial Toner

Let's start with something I loved a lot. I have mentioned it in my May favourites, I've finished it a long time ago, and I still miss it and think of it sometimes. That should tell you how much I loved it. It made my skin feel great, more clean, moisturized (I'm all about that), and it smelled amazing.

I give: ●●●●●●●●●●

Would I repurchase? Absolutely!

Price: 17,00 pln ($4,30)

Catrice Prime and Fine Smoothing Refiner

Another products that was already mentioned on this blog, this time in THIS post, about the make up I want to finish up. It's a face primer - a silicone based one. I enjoyed using it, but not too much and I'm happy I'm done with it. The container is great for traveling - I just put a product I want in there and I'm good to go. It's small, sturdy and closes nicely.

I give: ●●●●●●○○○○

Would I repurchase? I don't think so, I would prefer trying something else.

Price: 17,79 pln ($4,48)

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Cream Wash

I really enjoyed the scent of this product, but, unfortunately, not the consistency. It was too gentle, I would prefer something foaming or grainy. Because of that reason I would love to try a Face Wash from this range. I also used and loved the Daily Scrub.

I give: ●●●●●●●○○○

Would I repurchase? No, because I felt it didn't do enough.

Price: 21,29 pln ($5,36)

Biały Jeleń Hypoallergenic Shampoo with clean cotton

I chose this shampoo because it's hypoallergenic and gentle. My dad used it when he had allergies and I tried it back then and loved this, so I decided to buy it for myself. It did a good job, was nice to my hair even though didn't do anything special, and smelled really nice. It's also affordable. It didn't last me very long though.

I give: ●●●●●●●○○○

Would I repurchase? Yes! I don't expect much from my shampoos, only my conditioners.

Price: 8.99 pln ($2,26)

Le Petit Marseillais Mandarin & Lemon Shower Gel

Le Petit Marseillais make some of my favorite shower gels. When I first tried one of their products, I was amazed by the intensity of the scent. This was no exception, I enjoyed every drop of it :)

I give: ●●●●●●●●●●

Would I repurchase? Yes, I've repurchased different scents many times now and will continue to do so :)

Price: 9,79 pln ($2,46)

And that is all I have for today. I'm sorry if it feels rushed, but unfortunately it is. I wish I had more time to really review every single product, but I tried to give you a general idea of what I think of them. Anyways, thank you so much for reading! That is the last post that I managed to pre-write, so please forgive me if there's nothing new on this blog for a while now. I will do my best to write something, but I can't make any promises.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you in the next one! xoxo

Make up

Minimalistic summer make up

11:38:00 AM

Hey guys!

As you already know, I've been travelling a lot lately. I also haven't been taking too much stuff with me, living on just one backpack for almost a month. Obviously, I couldn't take too much make up with me. First of all, it would take up too much space, second of all, I wouldn't really have time or even want to do a full face of make up while hitchhiking or going near the sea. Because of those reasons, I feel I have finally found my perfect minimal make up. No make up make up, as it is called.

All of the products on the picture above look pretty beaten up, don't they? That's because they've been through a lot with me and served me well. Also, please excuse me for not showing this on my face... But I'm wearing pretty much this make up on THIS photo on my Instagram, with just the lip gloss added.

1. Avon Naturals Essential Balm in Peach & Cotton

I begin (or sometimes end) with moisturizing my lips, and this has been my go-to lip balm for years now. It moisturizes amazingly, smells delicious and looks really good on the lips even just by itself.

2. Dax Sun Waterproof 30 SPF for your face

It doesn't really matter what brand of SPF you use, but I feel it's necessary, especially in the summer. Where I was raised and live now, Vilnius or Poznań, I feel you can get away with not using additional sun protection for most of the year (the one in your foundation might be enough). But I would not skip on that in the summer! My skin is usually very pale and I get sun burned very easily, and I would like to avoid that on my face. Plus I always get tons of freckles and I hear it's even more important to use an SPF if you do.

3. Catrice Allround Concealer Palette

For my face make up, this palette has been my number one. Because of it's thick texture, I feel like the products stayed longer on my face even with all the heat and sweat. I sometimes used the salmon color under my eyes, but mostly I just used the middle concealer shade for everything. Once in a while I even used it on my eyelids to hide the veins. When I was feeling extra glam (;)) I used the darkest shade as my contour/bronzer - under my cheekbones and on the perimeter of my face.

4. Ingrid Ideal Skin Concealer in 10

If I felt the Catrice concealers weren't enough I sometimes went in with this one. I also occasionally used this on my face and the Catrice concealer just under my eyes (because the Ingrid one doesn't have enough coverage).

5. Buorjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder in 52 Vanilla

I haven't been using this powder for a while now, choosing different ones over this one. Only when I had to pack for my trip I realized how perfect it was for that. It's compact and has a mirror (the only mirror I had and used for doing my make up). I also fell in love with the powder itself. I found it's great for days, when I'm not wearing tons on make up - it adds some coverage and mattifies, it also claims to be good for your skin. I stopped using it because I thought it was giving me cake face, but now I know I was just piling too much make up on ;). I also love the soft scent of it and I know I'm going to be using this whole summer.

6. Catrice Eyebrow Stylist in 020 Date With Ash-Ton

After I'm done with making my skin naturally flawless, it's time to give myself some face features. And when it comes to that, brows are the most important for me. And for doing my brows, I love this pencil. Perfect shade and stays in tact for just enough time.

7. L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper in Light/Medium

After I've tried a brow gel for the first time, I got addicted and I can't live without it (well, I can live, I just feel like my brows are not done without it). I think it makes a huge difference - makes everything look much more natural and stay longer. I also don't add color with the pencil on the inside part of my brows, because I feel it looks too fake if I do, and adding brow gel there makes everything look put together. Oh, and this particular brow gel is great.

8. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

And the last step, of course, has to be mascara. I, as a blonde, have invisible lashes and if I don't want to look like a man, I have to put on mascara. This one was mentioned in my May favorites - and I still love it.

And that's it! Eight simple steps that didn't take me more than 5 minutes a day. Perfect for those days when I'm in a rush, but still want to look put together. Sometimes I would also add bronzer and highlight (not during the trip though, as I didn't take any) and that would be it.

Thank you so much for reading and see you in my next post! xoxo

EMPTIES #2: Bioderma, Neutrogena, Bielenda

10:46:00 AM

Hey guys!

When you're reading this, I'm probably already in Germany or at least on my way there. Yes, this post is pre-written. I was hoping I would have lots of time during the summer to write interesting posts, reviews, maybe tutorials, or maybe try some natural masks you can do at home... But, well, life is life, and it didn't really go the way I planned. On a positive note, I'm hoping to have some extra money later and maybe buy myself some cool new make up. And we all know I'd like that ;).

Anyways, this post is going to be about some products I've used up. I had so many I had to split everything in two parts and I'll be posting the second part some time later. As you can see, this post is going to be all about skincare products, one of which was even mentioned in my May favorites ;).

Bioderma Hydrabio H20 Micelle Solution

I think everyone knows what Bioderma is, especially the red, Sensibio version. I prefer this one, as it's hydrating, but I love all of the Bioderma micellar waters and I was very sad when I had to toss mine. I tried some other make up removing waters since I finished this one, but nothing could even compare. The only other micellar water I tried and loved is by Nivea.

I give: ●●●●●●●●●●

Would I repurchase? Yes, totally!

Price: about 70 pln for 500 ml (17,63$)

Neutrogena Deep Moisture Body Lotion

This is one of, if not THE best body moisturizer I have ever tried. It not only immediately moisturized my skin, it also smelled amazing and (!) made my skin look better over time, if I was consistent with using it. I was seriously in love with it and was so heart broken when it was gone. Unfortunately the packaging is not translucent, so I did not see that coming.

I give: ●●●●●●●●●●

Would I repurchase? Yess!

Price: 22,00 pln ($5,59)

Bielenda Skin Clinic Professional Super Power Mezo Serum

It was my first serum ever and I have to say, I enjoyed it a lot. My skin did look better when I started using it, even thought I started some other products around the same time and I can't be sure which one is the hero, or maybe all of them are :). Anyways, I really liked this one, especially for the price. The only drawback is the fact that the dropper is made of glass. Mine fell on the floor and broke, I couldn't use it anymore and had to just pour the product out of the bottle. But if you're more careful than me, it probably wouldn't bother you at all.

I give: ●●●●●●●●●○

Would I repurchase? Would love to :)

Price: 29,99 pln ($7,55), but I've bought it for 9.99 on sale ($2,51)

And that is all for today! I really hope you enjoyed. I have some posts pre-written, so I'm hoping not to abandon my blog again. Wish me luck in Germany! xoxo
