MOTD #2: Little pop of green

12:54:00 PM

Hi guys!

Today is another "Make Up Of The Day" blog post day. Lately I've been posting quite a few make up looks on my Instagram profile, and I haven't been giving you any information about the products I used along with them. So I thought that... maybe I should? Maybe someone would like to know? So here you go.

This is the make up look I wore 2 days ago. I tried out my new eyeshadow palette from Avon and my new lip liner from Eveline Cosmetics, along with my usual make up products.

Here is a close up of my eye, you can find another one on my Instagram HERE. So for my eyes, I used:

  • Avon eyeshadow primer
  • Lorac Unzipped eyeshadow palette (to set the primer and do my upper lid)
  • Avon 8-in-1 The Metallics eyeshadow palette (I used green, yellow and a little bit of black on the outer corner of my lower lashline)
  • Revlon Colorstay Liquid liner in Blackest Black
  • Wet n Wild Mega Protein mascara in Very Black
  • Elegance Natural Looking False Eyelashes
  • Catrice Eyebrow Stylist in 020 Date With Ash-Tone
  • L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper in Light/Medium

Here is the Avon eyeshadow palette I mentioned. I actually stole it from my mom, as she had it for a while now and haven't even touched it, and I figured I can have it (she said yes, I'm not a thief :D). I didn't use the Clio Lip Syrup that day, so please ignore it, but I did use the Eveline Cosmetics Max Intense Colour Lip Liner in 14 Nude.

I wouldn't say it's very nude compared to my skin colour, but it's very beautiful and I love it. It lasted me quite a long time too, which is awesome. By the way, sorry for the extreme close ups, you can even see my peach fuzz :D. And speaking of that, here is the list of products I used on my face:

  • Prime Primer Classic
  • Holika Holika Petit BB in Clearing
  • Bourjois Healthy Balance powder in 52 Vanilla
  • Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer in Medium
  • Essence Silky Touch Blush in 10 Adorable
  • Wibo Glamour Shimmer bronzer (I used the two lightest shades as my highlight and in my inner corner of the eye)

For my tools, I used mostly Ecotools brushes, also my ECOntour ones and Sephora Collection brushes. For my foundation - Beauty Blender and a MizClub Make up Collection beauty sponge that unfortunately I couldn't find anywhere on the internet, and I wanted to share it with you, as I've been very impressed with how it applied my foundation.

So that is all for today! I really hope you enjoyed this casual style and would like to come back for more. I fixed the way my blog looks a little, and now you can subscribe and get notifications about my new uploads on your email. You can do that on the top right corner of the blog :). Essence "All about..." eyeshadow palettes

2:51:00 PM

Hello everyone!

Today I'm going to be talking about something really affordable, from a brand that continues to amaze me with their quality every single time. You probably already know, as it's in the title, but I'm going to be talking about Essence "All about..." eyeshadow palettes. I have 3 of those, one being an older version (I believe), so I'm not going to be mentioning it, apart from the fact that it made me buy the other two.

So the two palettes I have are 02 Nudes and 03 Roses. The first thing you might notice is that the writings are rubbing off. I'm not enjoying that, as it makes the palettes look worse, but let's be honest - it's not the most important thing in the world. The packaging is a standard Essence transparent plastic. It's not amazing, but it works - feels sturdy and secure, closes very well, so if you're taking the shadows with you in your make up bag, you can be sure it won't just open and get everywhere. It's also small, smaller than my hand, and because it's transparent, you can easily see the colours inside. It doesn't have a mirror, but it's not a huge con in my book.

As for the formula, I think it's tricky. The shadows are very creamy to the touch, they are also nicely pigmented when you swatch them. But once you try to apply them with a brush, they are not as pigmented anymore. They are also very powdery and you will get tones of powder flying everywhere, and, obviously, fall out. It's better to do your eyes first and then wipe it away or do whatever you like to do to prevent that (use an eyeshadow shield or maybe bake under your eyes first?). Some shades are better than others and you can pack them on and get pigmentation, others just wouldn't really show up.

The shades in my palettes are just like the names claim - nude in the Nude one and rosy in the Rose one (I would prefer it not to be so cool toned though). Let's talk about the Nude first. It contains 6 velvet matte shadows (they are not completely matte, but have a slight, velvet sheen to them): a cream, two cool toned and two neutral browns and a very dark brown that looks like it has glitter in the pan, but it doesn't show up on the skin, a light highlight colour with pinkish shimmer and a dark taupe glittery shadow. The Rose palette only has 3 velvet mattes: a very light pink, a mauve and a darker, cool toned brown. It also has a white and a pink shimmery shadow, a cool toned lilac/mauve shimmer and a purple-ish brown shimmer with a little bit of glitter and a very dark purple, that on the skin looks like it's velvet matte with some glitter.

Apart from the two palettes I have, I know there are two more available: Bronze and Greys. I'm not sure, but I think they are also coming out with some limited edition one from time to time (?), so you should just go to your local drugstore and check for yourself, if you're interested. I have to say, I gave mine away to my mom, because I have many other similar eyeshadow palettes and I just didn't grab it as much, but I do use it from time to time when I'm home.

Price: 17,49 pln ($4,50)

All in all, I would say, if you have other eyeshadow palettes with similar shades, you don't need those. They are not amazing. I like the Nudes more, as I use it for my transition shades - the mattes are pretty good, I also like the cream shade for setting my eyeshadow primer. Unfortunately the shimmery shades are not worth it at all, they barely show up on the skin and there are many other eyeshadows that are so much better. I have to say the highlight shade in the Roses palette makes a nice face highlighter, but it's still just not worth it. I know these palettes are super affordable and if you need these specific shades you can totally go for it, I'm not judging. I bought them because the older version of the "All about the nude" palette I mentioned before was really great, I love it - it contains some of my favourite eyeshadows in my collection. So I guess with Essence shadows it's just hit or miss, and this is unfortunately a miss.

That is all I have for today. Thank you so much for reading, I hope you liked my review, and I hope to see you in my next one!

Review #3: L'oreal Colour Riche Extraordinare Liquid Lipstick

11:07:00 AM

Hello everyone!

I know it's already Autumn (which I still can't believe) and usually it's the time of year when we tend to wear darker, vampier colors on the lips, but there's still Summer in my mind and I go for a peachy gloss. Besides, nudes are always in and not everyone likes drying matte lip colors, you sometimes have to go for something easier to wear. You might be wondering why am I telling you all this? Well, I'm trying to justify myself, because today I'm going to review a nude peachy gloss by L'oreal.

As you can already tell from the title, this is a Colour Riche Extraordinare Liquid Lipstick in 600 Nude Vibrato. First of all, let's look at the packaging. I think it's gorgeous - very shiny and gold, with a little "window" showing you the color of the product inside. It's not actually showing you WHAT'S inside, but it's pretty damn close.

What I also like about the packaging is that even though I've had this for quite some time now, you wouldn't be able to tell - it looks new. Not a single scratch, plus the name hasn't rubbed off. It's also small and just nice to look at.

It has a doe foot applicator with a small dent that it surprisingly useful. It helps you scoop out more of the lipstick, so you don't have to go back for more. I find it to be very comfortable to use, it's soft and the size of it is... good. I don't have anything bad to say about it.

Now let's talk about the product itself. It claims to be liquid lipstick, but don't be fooled - it's not the kind of a liquid lipstick you might be used to with the latest trends. It's not matte by any means, quite the opposite - it's infused with oils and very shiny, like a gloss. That's why I was talking about glosses in the beginning of this post. Because of that it's also not as long wearing, it will fade within a few hours, it will also transfer and disappear when you drink or eat. Because it's quite thick, it will stay longer than a normal gloss would. What is more, it has a pretty good pigmentation.

It has a sweet scent that my friend said reminded her of peach, which would make sense as the shade is peachy :). It's easy to apply, doesn't streak, but if you apply too much it might look cakey and weird. Less is more with this one - it will look beautiful if you just don't go cray cray with the amount. I also find it comfortable to wear, although, again, if you apply too much, you will be able to feel it on the lips plus it might get sticky and I don't really enjoy that. In addition, it will moisturize your lips.

As for the color itself, it's a very pretty nude. I've been really enjoying wearing it this whole week, it went well with any eye look I came up with and added a little "summer", at least in my mind. Although, I don't think it's only summer appropriate, you can totally wear this color all year round, and I probably will. Besides, my mom says it's beautiful, and she's very picky with lipstick :).

Price: 56,59 pln ($14,73)

It is quite expensive in my opinion and I would not buy it for the full price (yes, I bought it on sale). I'm sure there are many cheaper options in the drugstore that are just as good, and I will tell you as soon as I find them (or you can just tell me in the comments). I'm thinking of these, for example, by Essence, that are just 10,99 pln ($2,86).

Overall, it is a beautiful, but expensive lipstick. Of course, you might compare it to Mac or Sephora prices and it probably will not look so bad then, but I'm a huge believer that you can get amazing lipsticks for a cheaper price. I wouldn't recommend it if you're on a budget, I would invest in a more expensive foundation or an eyeshadow palette instead. But if you can afford it and want to - totally go for it, it's gorgeous.

I give: ●●●●●●●○○○

Here you can see me wearing it :).

And that is all I have for today. I really hope you enjoyed today's review and will come back for more. Also, please leave me a comment and share your thoughts about this lipstick or anything at all!

My Sephora Wishlist

9:35:00 PM

Hello everyone!

I was wandering on the Sephora website tonight and eyeing some of the products I wish I could buy, when an idea stroke me - why not share that with you? Obviously, I'd love putting these babies on my blog as if they were already mine, and maybe you dream about them too and we could just dream together? I thought I would give it a try.

1. Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette

I already have the original Chocolate Bar palette and love the colors and the amazing quality of the shadows. I have also swatched various shadows from Too Faced and they never disappoint me, so I believe these would also be amazing. It also contains beautiful cool tones and pinks, and just look at the packaging! And these heart shaped pans? I wish I could have it...

2. Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo

Another product by Too Faced. I love highlight and I hear this one is amazing. It's also very beautiful. I haven't swatched it yet, but... I wish I could at least do that! What is more, the name - Candlelight Glow - is just so soothing. The shade on the picture is Warm Glow.

3. Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick

Yes, Too Faced once again. Sorry not sorry. It's just that their products look amazing and always catch my eyes. I love liquid lipsticks and I'd just love to try this one. The shade on the picture is Child Star, but all of their nudes look very appealing.

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick

Another liquid lipstick - this time the famous ABH one I would looove to try, but it's really hard to get here in my country plus it's just too expensive for me. But all of their lipsticks are very beautiful and look great on people on Instagram :D. The shade on the photo is Pure Hollywood.

5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette

I've been looking for a warm toned eyeshadow palette around the time they came out with this one, and now I can't forget about it. Instagram is not helping. I hear the quality of the shadows is to die for, and just look at how beautiful the colors are... I'm crazy about the shades!

6. BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

It's probably not even available anymore, but I wish I could get it when it was. I love Jaclyn and watch her videos for a long time now, plus this palette is just beautiful. If not this, I would put the Champagne pop highlighting powder on the list, but I can't get any of them, so whatever. And I'm in love with the shimmery blush!

7.  Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit

And another famous product by ABH that everyone on Instagram seems to have. It's beautiful and everybody is crazy about is, so of course I would like to at least swatch it... Plus, like I said, I love highlight, and more is more :). On the picture is Sun Dipped.

8. Too Faced Natural Eye Neutral Eye Shadow Collection

This is something I've been wanting for a very long time now, as, in my opinion, it contains perfect shades for any look, day or night. All of the colors I love and if I ever made my own palette, it might look similar. And the Too Faced quality never lets me down :).

9. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation

I promised myself, that if I manage to resist buying any other foundations until I finish every single one I have, this is what I'm buying (or Too Faced Born This Way). I'm looking for the perfect foundation and judging from how many people love it, I decided it's worth a try. So... maybe someday.

That is the end of the list, but, obviously, I would buy much more if I just had the money. Not high end products only, I also have many drugstore make up on my wishlist, I just didn't want to make this list hundred km long :). I should also probably say that all of the pictures are borrowed from the Sephora website.

Please comment below and tell me what Sephora products are on your wishlist! And tell me if you liked this post :). Thank you so much for reading and see you in my next one! xoxo
