October Favourites 2016

7:20:00 PM

Hello everyone!

The month of October is coming to an end, so I decided it's time to share my monthly favourites with you. This month I don't have too many, not because I didn't like anything - because I wanted to mention only the things that truly made me feel excited to use them, and that I reached for all month long, or at least most of the time.

I have five products this month - one of which I forgot to include on the first picture (of course...). I'm sorry if the photos seem a little bit off, or maybe too cool toned. I've been playing with my backgrounds and stuff. I really liked how it looked while I was editing, but I'm not so sure now. I hope it's okay.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette

This one is probably not only a monthly favourite, but a yearly favourite (maybe). I didn't reach for it that often before, because it was so pretty and I didn't want to ruin it, but once I started... Holy moly! It's the perfect everyday eyeshadow palette. I'm pretty sure I could get rid of all of my other eyeshadows right in this moment and I'd be just fine. It has everything I need - a cream shade to set my eyelid or fix mistakes, a transition shade, a beautiful warm transition shade, a shimmery highlight, a cool toned gold (I realized I prefer it to my more warm golds), that Marzipan shade (a.k.a. the most beautiful eyeshadow I own), matte brown, shimmery browns... Let me just swatch my favourite shades for you.

I'm also absolutely in love with the formula. It seems a little powdery when you dip your brush into the pan (at least mine do), but it's totally fine with me, I can tap the excess off or whatever. What I love about them is how smooth and pigmented they apply. With some of my drugstore eyeshadows the colours just seem to blend into one shade that's in between, with these you can really see the colors on the eyes. Let me also mention the chocolate smell! It makes me melt a little every time I open this palette.

Banila.co Prime Primer Classic

I haven't really tried any high end primers and I'm guessing this one is pretty expensive (I got it as a gift, I have no idea - you can read my post about getting Korean make up HERE). It feels like a normal silicone primer, it's smooth, it smells nice. The reason why I love it is one day I tried not using it - and then I noticed the difference. I really think it makes my foundation apply much easier, makes my pores and fine lines less visible. Does the usual primer thing, I guess, but I'm really enjoying it. More then I ever enjoyed a primer, that's why I'm mentioning it.

L'oreal Infallible 24H-Matte foundation in 11 Vanilla

This one is another all time favourite. It's the best foundation I ever used, and this month I've been especially enjoying it. It's a full coverage, long-wearing beautiful foundation, that will apply easily and stay in place for a long time. I also feel like is makes products I put on top of it look better. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it in a Favourites post before, but that just tells you how awesome it is :).

And these two combined were my go-to combo for this month.

Rimmel and Kate Moss sculpting palette in 002 Coral Glow

Now here's something I picked up more recently. You can read my Autumn haul post HERE. I've been really trying to use it a lot to test it out properly before giving you any of my thoughts, and here we go. It's a favourite :). Like I've already mentioned in that other post, it's very subtle. It's not crazy pigmented, so if you like that, you're not going to love it. I love it, because it's easy to use for every day make up.

Because it's so subtle, it's hard to mess up, and it also looks more wearable for the day time. I also think the contour shade is just the right colour and I absolutely love the blush. I'm not crazy about the highlight, as I like it to be more in-your-face, but I've been enjoying using it on top of a cream highlight. It's very pretty on it's own as well, it's just less than what I'm used to.

Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in 13 Marvelous Mauve

And my last favourite for this month is this liquid lipstick. It's one of the first liquid lipsticks I ever bought and, just like with the products mentioned above, I rediscovered it this month. You can see me wearing it on my Instagram (HERE, HERE). It's a very pretty pinky mauve shade, perfect for fall in my opinion. What I also love about it is how long it lasts on the lips. Unless you eat something oily, it will stay on your lips all day.

So that is all I have for today! I really hope you enjoyed this posts, please tell me if you did :). Also, have you tried anything I mentioned and if so, what did you think? Please stay tuned, as I have something fun prepared for my next post! Oh, and please tell me what you think of the photos! Have an awesome Friday night :).

My everyday evening skincare routine

10:05:00 PM

Hi there!

Lately I've realized that a lot of the things that seem common sense to me (because I read about it so much), are not exactly that obvious to everyone else. And that maybe I should share more of what I do skincare-wise and not only review products (which I will obviously still do, because I enjoy it so much). So today I thought I would start with sharing my everyday skincare routine.

And yes, that's my new beautiful baby in the right corner.

I won't be sharing my face in this post, so you'll just have to imagine everything, but I'll try to explain everything as good as I can. If you have any questions or comments - please leave them in the comment section below this post :) .

1. First thing I like to do, when I have a face full of  make up, is wetting my eyes. I just take a little bit of water and press it into my eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and maybe eyebrows. This way everything melts off so much easier and I won't have to pull on my skin or my eyelashes. That's also the reason why I never use waterproof make up - I like everything to come off with no effort.

2. Then I wet my little make up removing sponge I bought at Carrefour for like 2 pln ($0,50), put one pump of my Bioderma Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel (or any other gel, this is what I happen to be using at the moment), foam it up, and then I wash my face with it. If I feel the need to, I do it twice or even three times, but usually one is enough.

3. I like my skin to be really clean, so just washing it with a gel is not enough for me. After that, I take some of my micellar water on a cotton pad (AA Cosmetics Micellar Water for dry to normal skin) and cleanse my skin one more time. This time I also remove my eye make up - it's usually so damp by this time, most of it comes off with one swipe. I usually do this step twice, focusing on my eyes the second time. I also cleanse my neck and chest area.

4. When I finally feel like my skin is clean - I use a toner. I'm currently using this one from Nivea - Soothing Toner for dry and sensitive skin. A toner will replenish the skin with what cleansers wipe off. In this case - moisture. It will also remove any traces of make up left - and usually there is some, no matter how clean my skin feels. I really notice a difference when I'm using a toner, plus it's a very pleasant experience!

5. Next step - a serum. It's important to use a serum before your creams, as it's usually very light and wouldn't sink into the skin as well if you put it on top of a thick night cream. It will provide many benefits to your skin, depending on what you choose. I usually put three drops of it on my face and one on my neck and chest area and gently rub it in. This one is Intelligent Skin Therapy in Phytoflavon.

6. This is probably a more common step in a skincare routine. I feel like even if you're not into skincare, you would at least cleanse and moisturize. So this is what I'm currently using as my night cream - Nivea Pure & Natural Regenerating Night Cream. I take a little and spread (or pat) it all over my face, neck and chest area.

7. I also always use an eye cream. It's, honestly, one of the things I never skip, no matter how tired I am. I'm currently using AA Cosmetics 30+ Moisturizing and Smoothing eye cream. Yes, I'm not 30+ yet, but I believe these numbers are mostly just for marketing reasons and you should more care about what it does and the ingredients, than what the packaging says.

8. And the last step in my skincare routine is an eyelash serum. It's My Lash Serum from Etude House and I have to say - it's a big favourite. I used to not believe in eye lash serums, but this one seems to really work. My lashes look better and are longer - at least that's what I think.

If I feel like I really need some more moisture, I would also pat a few drops of oil on top of my night cream. I'm currently using just a baby oil and it works just fine. It locks the night cream in, and it's also very moisturizing itself, I highly recommend trying it.

What is more, I always try to scrub my face at least once or twice a week, and do a mask, also once or twice a week.

I know it seems like a lot, but it's not really that bad. It's a very pleasant experience in my opinion and it also really makes a difference. I noticed my skin really changing after I started doing this. I highly recommend trying it and you'll see for yourself. If you don't like it, you can just stop :).

I really hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any questions or want to know my thoughts on any of these products, or anything at all - just tell me in the comments. Thank you so much for reading and see you in my next post! xoxo

Empties

Empties #4 + disappointing products

8:11:00 PM

Hello everyone!

After showing you how much I bought lately, I decided it's the time to get rid of some stuff I finished or just don't like at all. That's why it's not just traditional "empties", I'm also including some products that I haven't finished, but I know I won't be using them anymore, because they just didn't work for me for one reason or another.

As usually, I'm dividing everything into categories. I'm also going to tell you if I would buy certain products again and why.

SKINCARE/HAIRCARE

Uoga Uoga Bling Bling hair mask/serum

If you've read my montly favourites post, you already know what I think about it. Yes - I absolutely loved it. It was one of the best hair masks I ever used. It smelled like coconut, and was a mixture of coconut oil as well as some other oils that are good for your hair and vitamins. It was a pleasure to use and made my hair feel very soft and silky afterwards. I used it as an overnight mask when I knew I'm going to wash my hair the next morning.

Would I buy it again? I would probably try other oils on my hair, that are much cheaper, but if I get the opportunity to buy it on sale, I would love to have it again.

Avon Foot Works Beautiful Heel Softening Cream

It's a very old foot cream that I just decided to finally finish up. I'm not sure if you can even buy still buy it, so I'm not going to talk about too much. It was okay, I'm moving on to my other one.

Would I buy it again? No. A - I probably can't, b - it didn't blow my mind, I would prefer trying something else.

Delia Argan Oil 100% Face & Neckline Serum

It was basically a 100% argan oil. I wouldn't call it a serum, serums usually have a thin consistency and sink right into the skin, and this one was heavy and stayed there. But not in a bad way, I enjoyed using it. It moisturized my skin beautifully, I liked using it on top of my night cream, to seal in the moisture. If I still had it, I would probably try using it mixed in with my foundation, although it might look too oily - I don't know. What I didn't like is the misleading name (it should just be called "oil") and how small it was.

Would I buy it again? Probably not. I would try other serums that are really serums and buy 100% argan oil (or any other oil) separately.

MAKE UP

Holika Holika Petit BB Clearing

I have finally got tan enough to use it up - so I did. I think it's a very nice bb cream - it's not only moisturizing (and apparently clearing) but it also has amazing coverage. I was really surprised when I first tried it. It feels nice on the skin, smells amazing and is pretty affordable. The only downfall is it's too dark for me when I'm my true white self.

Would I buy it again? I have so many foundations now that no, I would most definitely not buy it again now. I also want to try many other ones, so I don't think so. But I still think it was a nice bb cream and I recommend it.

Eveline Cosmetics Celebrities Eyeliner in Brown

I'm pretty sure it appeared in my favourites. I was very amazed with this liquid liner, especially for the price. I love the small brush, it was also very pigmented, easy to work with and stayed looking good all day.

Would I buy it again? Definitely, yes. I might try some other ones but I am sure I will come back to this one - it's so affordable and so nice, it's almost ridiculous. Love it, 100% would recommend.

Lovely Highlighter in Silver

I know the packaging says Gold, but it's because the cap of my Gold one broke, so I replaced it with this one's. It was my first highlighter ever and I was very happy with it - it was super nice. Nonetheless, out of the two, I think I like the Gold version better. Formula vise, it's a quite pigmented highlight that stayed all throughout the day on my skin.

Would I buy it again? No. I have the Gold version now and it's what I would repurchase. If you prefer a more cool toned highlight though - totally go for it.

DISAPPOINTING PRODUCTS

These are the products I have not finished up, but I'm not going to anyway. I will either toss them or give them out to my friends, if they like them.

Etude House Dr. Mascara Fixer

This is kind of a mascara primer, you put it on before your mascara and it's supposed to make your lashed more curled and voluminous. I think it does that and this is not why I'm disappointed with it. Why I don't like it is that it's super hard to remove. I never buy anything waterproof, because I like my make up to wash off easily, without any effort or pulling on my skin. And with this one, I really had to almost scrub my eyes to get it off. That's why I'm not going to use it again and I will just give it to someone that might enjoy it more.

Wet n Wild MegaProtein mascara

It's my first Wet n Wild product ever and it's not a good one. I'm not even sure if it's because of the formula, because the wand is so bad I couldn't make it look good in the first place. It's a dense bristle wand. It doesn't comb through the lashes to separate them, I also got it all over my eyelids - every time. Also it didn't do anything - didn't lengthen, didn't make my lashes more voluminous. I don't like it at all and I'm not going to use it again.

Lovely Eye Liner Matte

It's a very affordable and truly matte eyeliner. What I don't like about is how sheer it is. I had to apply several layers to make it look opaque. It was not terrible and with a little bit of effort I could totally make it work, but I didn't love it and didn't enjoy using it because of that reason. Also, as the summer is over, I'm not going to be using blue eyeliner anymore. And if I want to have one next season, I would prefer to just try something new.

And that is all I have for today. There is some stuff I threw away without showing you (I'm sorry:D), but I just didn't want to travel with my trash from country to country. Anyways, I really hope you enjoyed and will come back for more! Thank you so much for reading and see you in my next one! xoxo

Autumn Haul 2016

8:11:00 PM

Hi and welcome back to my blog!

If you're following me on Instagram, you know that I did some make up shopping lately. I know, I have way too much make up, but I really wanted to try these out. I promise I won't buy anything else. At least not until Christmas, because obviously I will buy some Christmas presents for myself. So I have... a little less than 3 months to finish some stuff up and make room for new goodies :D.

Some of these babies I ordered online, some I went out and bought in the stores. I also have new skincare, but I'm not sure if anyone cares, and I figured this is the more exciting part. I'm not going to be doing mini reviews, as most of the products I didn't have time to really try yet, so if you want to see more of my thoughts on anything I mention, feel free to let me know in the comments. I'll be more than happy to review it for you. So let's just dive in.

Catrice Camouflage Cream in 010 Ivory

As I mentioned in my previous post, my concealer palette by Catrice broke, and that is why I bought this. I have to say, I'm still using the broken one, but I have tried this and I really like it so far. And obviously I bought it because of its fame :).

Ecocera Bamboo Powder

It's just a tester version of a loose powder. I love loose powders, I use them for baking under my eyes, and this one was really affordable, so I decided to give it a try. I haven't tried it yet.

Wet n Wild Coverall Concealer in Light

A product I most certainly didn't need, I still have some concealers I haven't even started using, but Wet n Wild was on sale and I heard so much about this one, I just had to. I haven't tried it yet. I don't want it to go bad before I can start using it, so I'm not opening it yet.

Wet n Wild Mega Liner liquid eyeliner in Black

I'm in a very weird place when it comes to my liquid eyeliner right now. I'm using three at the same time and I'm not really loving it, so I'm hoping maybe this little guy will save the day for me. Again, bought because it was on sale...

L'oreal Brow Stylist in Lighter Blonde and Darker Blonde

These came in a set, so no, I did not buy two separate brow pencils - it's not THAT bad :). I was in a need of a brow pencil, since my Catrice one just decided to die one day and left me with just one eyebrow done... I used them a few times now and I really like the formula so far. The darker colour is a better match, but I use the lighter one in the inner parts of my brows and generally to lighten things up. I'm loving it so far.

Rimmel and Kate Moss sculpting palette in 002 Coral Glow

I've been eyeing this beauty for months now, and I finally spotted in on sale - and grabbed it. I never had an all-in-one contouring, blushing and highlighting palette, so this is an interesting experience. It definitely takes up less space in my make up bag :).

The highlight is very subtle in this palette, which I don't mind. I have some much stronger highlighting powders, and lately I've been looking for something less in your face, maybe this will be it. I also think the blush shade is very flattering - I love it.

L'oreal Color Riche single eyeshadow in Smoky 307 Argentic

I really love this eyeshadow formula, so when I saw it was half of the price, I had to pick it up. It's a beautiful silver that I think will look great as an all over the lid shade as well as (maybe) an eyeshadow topper. I imagine wearing it in the Christmas season a lot. We'll see.

It's very smooth and pigmented, which I adore. It's also not as blue-toned in real life as is seems to be on the photos.

Wet n Wild eyeshadow palette in Comfort Zone

This palette, or, to be more specific, the right definer shade, is the reason I went to the drugstore and bought half of this stuff. I really wanted to try Wet n Wild eyeshadows, as I've heard so much about them, but mostly I was just dying to have an brown-blue monochromatic eyeshadow.

Most of the shades are very pretty, I'm just not crazy about the two darkest ones, so I don't regret buying the palette. It was super affordable AND on sale, so I didn't spend a lot of money on it anyways. The shadows seem to be very smooth and crazy pigmented considering the price. So far - I'm in love.

And this is going to be the most crazy part, I know. I certainly didn't need any more lipsticks, and then I ended up with all of those... Let's just start for the left.

Maybelline ColorSensational Matte in 930 Nude Embrace

A very pretty and very nude, matte shade. Formula seems to be very comfortable, so I'm looking forward to wearing it. I can never have too many everyday shades, can I?

Wet n Wild lipstick in Sand Storm

Also a very comfortable and veeery affordable brown lipstick. I've been crazy about these kinds of shades lately and now I have like 4 or 5 of them. Or more, I don't know.

KOBO Matte Liquid Lipstick in 405 Passiflora Tea

I've heard a lot of people rave about these liquid lipsticks, so I decided to pick up one. It's a very pretty everyday pink shade. It also smells nice.

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid in 05 Nude Flush

It's kinda similar to the Kobo one, but I've been eyeing this lipstick for months now, and Maybelline was on sale. It seems to be very comfortable, but it smells like a medication I used to take when I was a kid. Not a good memory.

Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipstick in 05 and 10

I've heard these are good, and I really liked these two shades and thought they were interesting, so I picked them up. I still haven't worn them outside, but it seems to be a very comfortable formula. And they are very pigmented! And smell nice :).

L'oreal Infallible lipstick in 844 Molten Caramel

A very pretty brown shade. It's also comfortable and long wearing, if you let it dry. What I don't like about it is it's not as pigmented as I would like in one swipe. You have to layer it up to get full coverage.

Nivea Hydro Care lipbalm

I didn't buy it, I got is as a gift with purchase. I have some other lip balms and was not going to buy it, but, well, I'm not gonna complain :).

Wet n Wild ColorIcon lipliner in 711 Chestnut

Yes, another brown. This time a lip liner :). Very affordable and super long, I've never seen a lip liner this long. I don't know how it performs yet.

And that is FINALLY everything I bough. I'm every happy with everything so far, and I hope it will stay this way. If you want to see me review any of the products mentioned, please just tell me in a comment and I'll happily do it. As for now, have a great day and see you in my next post! xoxo

September Favourites 2016

12:09:00 PM

Hello everyone!

October is already a week in and I remembered I didn't write anything about products I've been loving. And it's always a pleasure to talk about things we love, isn't it? So here we go.

As usually, I'm going to split things into categories. I also decided I'm not going to do a huge review in this post, as here I'm just sharing the things I love. I don't want this post to be a hundred miles long. If you want me to talk about any of the products mentioned more, just tell me in the comments! I'd love to do a review.

HAIRCARE

Uoga Uoga Bling Bling Hair Mask/Serum

Uoga Uoga is a Lithuanian brand of 100% natural beauty. This is something I got from my good friend as a birthday gift, and it's also one of the first products form this brand that I've tried. And I'm obsessed with it! It has an amazing coconut scent, which makes it a pleasure to use it, but most importantly, it makes my hair super soft.

L'oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil

This is something I bought more toward the end of the month, and I'm still testing it out, but I'm in love with it already. I apply a tiny amount on the ends of my hair and it moisturizes and makes my hair soft and nice to the touch.

NAILS

Avon Nail Experts Fresh Aloe Cuticle Gel

This is something I've been stealing from my mom every time I was doing a manicure. For whathever reason, my hands are super dry lately, and this helped moisturizing my cuticle before painting my nails.

La Luxe 6in1 Nail Serum

I'm a big fan of using a nail serum as a base coat, I feel it makes my nails not beak as easily and, as a result, I experience less chipping. I've been using the one by Eveline Cosmetics before and after I've run out, I decided to try something else - this one. I've used it a few times already and I really like it!

MAKEUP

Miz Club Make Up Sponge

Because my Beauty Blender is so old, I picked up this sponge in the drugstore, just to try it out. I didn't really believe it would be amazing and it surprised me a lot. It's not as squishy as the original Beauty Blender, but it's very soft and blends make up amazingly. What I also love about it is that it doesn't soak up my foundations - at all! Therefore, I waste less product, it also seems to give me a more full coverage look (depends on the foundation of course) and washing it is super easy! It also was about 2 euros, which is super cheap compared to the beauty blender.

Catrice AllRound Concealer Palette

I've been loving this palette for many things before, and lately I've discovered another way to use it. I started carving out my brows with an angled brush and a little bit of concealer. This concealer palette is perfect for that, as it's very thick and full coverage, but blendable at the same time. Unfortunately the packaging of mine broke completely about a week ago, but I've already purchased a single concealer from Catrice.

Clio Lip Syrup in 6 Naked Rose

The lip products on the picture are basically all I reached for in the month of September, and anytime I wanted my lips a little red, I grabbed my Clio Lip Syrup. I love how it feels so nice on the lips and gives a fresh, red glossy look that goes well even with the most natural make up look.

L'oreal Colour Riche Extraordinare Liquid Lipstick in 600 Nude Vibrato

This is probably what I grabbed the most last month. I love how it's moisturizing and so easy to use. When I didn't have time of didn't want to think about my lipstick, I used this. It's a beautiful peachy nude colour, and it also smells amazing. To find out more of my thought on this product, you can ready my review HERE.

Eveline Max Intense Colour Lip Liner in 14 Nude

I bought it on sale for 0.99 euro cents and I don't regret it at all. It's a beautiful red brow colour that is not nude on my skin tone at all - it looks like a perfect fall lip shade. It's also matte and long wearing, which I also love. Probably my favourite lip liner out of all that I have.

Avon Pressed Powder

This is something that is probably not on sale for a long time now, so I'm not even sure if I should talk about it... It also doesn't have a name or a shade, which is a little confusing for me. Anyways, it's not really a typical pressed powder - it has golden flecks in it. It's also a little darker than my skin tone. I like using it as a base for my contour. It warms up my skin a little and makes the contour blend in easier.

Wibo Glamour Shimmer

At first I didn't really like this one, I thought it was too dark and the only way for me to use it is as an eyeshadow. Well, that's not true. I love using the first two stripes as a highlight on my face and inner corners of my eyes.

As for the rest... I use it on my collar bones and shoulders :). And sometimes on my face, when I'm going for a bronze, glowy look.

Avon 8-in-1 the Metallics eyeshadow palette

Yes, that's a lot of Avon in my favourites this month, but my mom used to work at Avon, so we have some stuff lying around in the house... And this one wasn't even opened, as my mom never uses these kinds of shades. So I took it, and I loved it :).

It's not the best quality, but it contains shades that I don't have in any of my other palettes, and that's why I like it so much. I especially like the pink, green and yellow shades, but all of the other ones are pretty too. I didn't really play with them wet yet, but the silver seemed to go on nicely with a slightly damp brush, so maybe I should try using the that way as well.

OTHER

This last one is not make up related whatsoever... But I had to shade it anyways. You may not know this about me, but I'm a huge potterhead (at least I was when I was little), so when this book released, I just had to read it. And it was one of the best evenings of the month (yes, I finished it in one sitting). I highly recommend reading it if you were a fan of the Harry Potter series, you will not regret it!

And that is all I have for today. I'm very sorry for not being active for a few weeks now, there's been stuff going on in my life and I just didn't have time nor motivation. But now I'm back. Thank you so much for reading and see you in my next post! xoxo
