Favourites of the year 2016

3:04:00 PM

Hey guys!

How is your year going so far? Mine is starting with an exam season, I've also been having some health issues, so it seems not that fun, but I'm still very optimistic and happy. I hope you are too!

I wanted to do a little round up of all the things I've been loving this year. That would help me to really see what was good and what would I recommend to you and to my future self. I also decided to only share things that either were groundbreaking for me of that I've been loving all throughout the year. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

# L'oreal Infallible 24H Matte foundation - this is the first foundation ever that made me really amazed by the results. It's the first time in my life that I've actually loved a foundation and it made me more aware of what I like and what to look for in my future choices.
# Eveline Celebrities eyeliner - one of the best eyeliners I've tried, especially for the price. I'll definately be purchasing it again some time in the future!
# Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner in 01 Black - my first gel eyeliner. I was really scared of it at first, but now I love how black and how easy to apply it is, if you have the right brush. The only thing that annoys me about it is the fact that I have to wash the little brush after each use!
# Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara - best mascara of the year. I've had two of those and loved both of them! Totally recommend.
# Too faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer - my favourite bronzer. It's very easy to apply and blendable, but at the same time you can get it to be very pigmented, it you like! Also, it smells like chocolate!
# Lovely Gold highlighter - another great and affordable product. It's a beautiful, champagne highlight. It's pigmented and stays all day. The only drawback is the cheap packaging that breaks very easily, but as long as the product is good, I'm not going to complain.
#Too Faced Love Flush Blushes in Justify My Love and Love Hangover - I've only discovered these blushes in the beginning of December, but I was amazed by how pigmented they are. They are also my most long wearing blushes!
#Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette - this is my ultimate favourite palette, I would recommend it to anyone. The quality is just amazing, the shadows are buttery, pigmented, they stay all day and also smell like chocolate! What is more, the colors are beautiful.
#Lorac Pro eyeshadow Palette - another favourite of mine. This palette didn't seem like THAT much to me at first, it even seemed a little boring, but soon I noticed I've been reaching for it the most. It also made me fall in love with matte shadows. I have it for a few years now and it's looking pretty beaten up, but I still love and use it.

# AA Cosmetics Hydro Algae pink facial toner - it's the first toner I've tried and by far it was the best one. I'm still trying different ones, so I might find something better, but this is the one that I would go back to with no fear that it would disappoint me.
# Neutrogena Deep Moisture Body Lotion & Comfort Balm - these two babies I got for Christmas last year and I quickly fell in love with them. I don't know what was that, but they made my skin visibly more firm and hydrated and I loved that.
# Etude House My Lash serum - this was the first lash serum I've tried. I didn't really believe it could do anything spectacular, but I enjoyed the process, so I used it every single night. Now, after about 6 months of using it, I can really see that my lashes are longer and fuller. I love it. I probably can't really buy it here where I live, but I'll surely search for another serum when I run out.
# Uoga Uoga Bling Bling hair mask - it's a completely natural product with a mix of different oils it it. Seems like nothing, but it made my hair so silky and soft after every use! And it smelled like coconut. Totally recommend.
# Pantene Pro-V Intense regeneration leave-in conditioner - again, something that has made my hair feel soft and smell amazing. I absolutely loved it, the only drawback is that I've run out pretty quickly, but it's probably because I was using it so much!
# Beauty Blender - I probably don't even have to say anything. It's just a sponge and it's seems stupid to spend so much on a sponge, but I literally can't do my make up without it. Nothing blends my foundation, and especially my under eye concealer like this baby does!
# Sephora Collection Brushes - and last but not least, these were my favourite brush discovery of the year. I have two - 73 Crease Brush and 60 Must-Have Powder Shadow and I use both of them every single day. I can skip on many of my other brushes, but not these two. I even take them with me when I travel. Best brushes ever.

These are all of my favourite products. I hope I didn't forget anything! You might notice I didn't mention any lipsticks. That's because I've been changing them up so frequently, that I just wouldn't be able to decide. If you're interested in reading more about the mentioned products, you can check out the list I created below.

Thank you so much for reading! Feel free to share your favourites with me in the comments. Have a great weekend!

Sending my love,

My New Year's Resolutions 2017

12:57:00 PM

Hi my loves!

For the past two weeks I've been spending a lot of quality time with my family, which is the reason why I haven't been posting - neither here nor on my Instagram account. Thank you so much for your patience and for not abandoning me ;). I'd also like to send you my best wishes of health and happiness in this new year 2017. I can't believe it's already here and we're all on to a new beginning :). Yeah, I don't really believe in that - I consider every single day, every moment to be a new beginning and a great chance to start working towards your dreams. Nonetheless, I decided to go with the trend and write down some of the things I want to do or archive this year. It's not going to be everything, as I also have some that are more personal and I'd prefer keeping them to myself, but these are the ones I wanted to have listed on my blog:

1. Eating healthy. I've been trying to eat healthy and take good care of myself for more than a year now, but I had my ups and downs. Last month was a "down" in my opinion (all these delicious Christmas foods...!) and I would really want to get back to eating well. It's really important to me not just because it's been a big trend to "be healthy" lately (which is a good thing, of course), but also because of the huge difference I notice every time I'm consistent with my diet. I feel much better, I have nearly no stomach issues, my hair and skin looks better and I also loose any additional fat I gained from eating too much sugar.

2. Be more consistent with my beauty routine. Usually I love my beauty routine, I find it relaxing and the results satisfying. But, as any human being, I'm lazy and there are times when I skip some steps I consider to be less important. I would like to try and change that - always oil my hair before washing it, scrub and moisturize my body more often, do masks at least once a week, etc., etc..

3. Stop buying things I don't need. I don't have a lot of money to begin with, so I have no idea what makes me think I need a million and one lipsticks of the same shade. Yes, it mostly goes for make up, but I don't want to waste my money on other things I don't need neither. You might be thinking - how am I going to write beauty posts if I don't buy new make up? Well, I'll do my best ;).

4. Reduce the amount of make up in my collection. Obviously, mine is not as big as you can see in some youtubers' videos, but it's still too big for just one face. There are a lot of things that are just piling up in my drawers waiting for me to use them, especially as I've added quite a lot of items in this past year. Now, as I'm not going to buy anything new (unless I run out of it completely), I'm going to focus on finishing up stuff that is almost gone, this way reducing the amount of make up that I have. I believe this will make me more satisfied with what I have and feel more in control of my life :).

5. Focus on the important things. I'm going to graduate this year, which means a beginning of a whole new chapter of my life. I want to focus on my studies and work harder to be happy with my end results. I also have to finally decide what I want to do next and go in that direction. This also means getting a job. All of this sounds like a lot of hard work ahead of me, but I'm actually really excited and full of positive thoughts.

6. Read more. I used to be a bookworm - reading was one of my favourite things to do, which also led to me writing a lot of my own (usually unfinished) stories. In the past few years I've been reading less and less. Having a lot to read for my university made me tired of it and forget how much I used to enjoy it. This year I want to remind myself how amazing of an experience a good book can be. I know I might have a lot going on in my life so I've set a goal of reading at least 12 books this year, which is one per month, but I'll obviously try to read even more.

7. Write more blog posts. Or at least be more consistent with it! I'd want to write at least one blog post per week, and have some pre-written for when I might have no free time or no internet. Maybe this will help me gain more readers ;).

This years' Christmas tree in Vilnius, Lithuania.

So here are all of my New Year's resolutions that I wanted to share with you. Please share some of yours with me and fellow readers down in the comment section! Maybe we'll inspire each other :). Anyways, I wish you best of luck, have a great year!
